Other Facts about MAD-81 hovercraft
MAD-81
hovercraft is IMPOSSIBLE to sink
MAD-81 hovercraft has
inbuilt buoyancy in ratio 1 liter of closed cell floating material, that
does not absorb water goes on 1 kg of hovercraft weight.
With simple words – complete
weight of craft is about 200 kg, and volume of inbuilt floating material
is 200 liters, the result is – UNSINKABLE hovercraft.

MAD-81
hovercraft buoyancy is positioned exactly where the most needed, at the
rescue boat bottom and sides.
50 liter is placed on the
bottom, what makes complete bottom in sandwich (bottom is
extremely strong)
100 liters is placed at
hovercraft sides, to most critical points, what makes hovercraft
very stabile on water on water stop, so allows you to work on
hovercraft sides, and hovercraft will not tilt
50 liters of built in hull
buoyancy is installed inside of hull, so in case complete
cockpit is flooded by water, hovercraft still stays on top of water
surface
MAD-81 hump speed time 3-5
seconds in all conditions
All hovercrafts face a
dificult hump situation after a water stop, most of the
hovercrafts are able to beat a hump with one person but it takes
some time to do so, when more people is on board story is ended
– hovercrafts can not come out from the water. We solved this
problem, and our hovercrafts have no problems beating the hump
no matter the payload. When we say hovercraft is for 3 person it
means it must beat a hump with 3 person same as with one… and it
must work in all condtions with one or three person onboard.
MAD-81 hovercraft has NO
PROBLEMS beating HUMP phenomenon no matter if there is one, two
or three person on board, MAD-81 is also designed for fastest
hump speed time possible under all kinds of conditions, so no
matter what payload you carry, you are out of water in 3-5
second time!

thrust duct information
MAD-81 is
powered by BUFO Hovercraft HIGH efficiency 900mm duct. BUFO thrust duct
system proved its performance on World Hovercraft Championship 2008 and
Europe Hovercraft Championship racing 2009, where the duct and
hovercraft performance was tested in extreme conditions against world’s
meanest hovercraft racing machines and toughest situations possible for
hovercraft operation. This high performance duct is now the thrust power
of new MAD-81 amphibian rescue boat. High efficiency duct means that our
models have MORE thrust power with 52 or 65 HP motors than some other
hovercrafts with 100 HP motors and because complete MAD-81 is lighter it
simply works better. Hovercraft power cannot be measured with motor
horse powers, but in relation of thrust power (outflow force) and
complete weight of the hovercraft. Only the right ratio of thrust power
and weight gives you what we call HIGH PERFORMANCE HOVERCRAFT. To get

hp strong hovercraft against 52 HP Bufo. 65 hp should be stronger,
but you can see the difference and also hear, because our models run
very quietly.

rudder control information
MAD-81
has special designed symmetric aerodynamic shaped rudders,
available in combination of 2 rudders or 4 rudders for better
maneuverability. For better response, rudders are positioned
behind the duct, so they catch complete airflow from thrust duct
and direct it to left or right under about 60 degree angle, what
makes incredibly responsive hovercraft when steering left right. Hovercraft can without problem turn on spot in a second,
without going forward. Shape of rudders is symmetric aerodynamic
foil that makes minimum turbulence and not effect on thrust
power of hovercraft, and keep noise level down as much as
possible.

Fuel Tank
MAD-81 is equipped with 30 liter fuel storage
tank of our own design, which is fabricated from polyethylene.
Fuel tank is fabricated by roto-moulding technology under all
necessary standards for fuel storage tanks. Hovercraft fuel tank
has 4 separate chambers, what limits the movement of fuel during
the ride to minimum, so fuel bumping does not affect the
hovercraft performance and stability. Fuel tank is positioned
under the seat console, right to the center of hovercraft
weight, so no matter if fuel tank is full or empty, hovercraft
keeps same performance.
With our fuel tank hovercraft NEVER runs out of
fuel when minimu level of fuel is inside of tank, no matter if
you drive uphill, or downhill with minimum level of fuel in
tank.
Full fuel tank or empty fuel tank does not effect
the hovercraft performance, balance and stability.
BOAT fuel tanks are NOT GOOD for
HOVERCRAFTS! We are the only manufacturer who use special fuel
tanks designed for high performance hovercrafts!
